Overview#
Biorbyt is a Cambridge, UK life-science reagents supplier founded in 2010/2011 (Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade, 2021), acquired by AVS Bio (Arlington Capital Partners) in September 2026. FIT is confirmed but should be scoped honestly: peptides are a real but minority line in a catalog dominated by antibodies, proteins, ELISA kits and small molecules — Biorbyt sells catalog peptides (notably antibody blocking peptides, HPLC-purified, with public per-SKU datasheets) and offers a custom peptide synthesis service. Its U.S. presence is genuine: vendor-issued datasheets are published under 'Biorbyt LLC' at 68 TW Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, Durham NC. The verification limit is registry access — the North Carolina SoS portal blocked text retrieval (HTTP 403), so the LLC's registration state, formation and registered agent are recorded Unknown rather than inferred from its address. Documentation practice is distributor-grade: public datasheets instead of lot-matched CoAs, no independent lab named and no verification portal; commercial terms, by contrast, are fully published, including a detailed cancellations/returns regime (§14: written-authorization returns, up-to-25% restocking fees, non-cancellable custom/cold-chain orders). All defined regulatory searches (FDA warning letters, recalls, import alerts, FTC, state AG, civil litigation, criminal/injunctive) returned No Record Found in the defined search, and no customer-complaint pattern was found (search noise from similarly named companies excluded). Only minor evidence inconsistencies exist (founding year 2010 vs 2011; legacy 415 phone codes; HQ presentation). No serious (High/Critical) findings.
